At Hound Hero Melbourne, we offer professional dog-sitting services in a warm, home-based environment in Melbourne’s West. Whether you’re away for a weekend or an extended holiday, we will welcome your hound into our home and care for them like one of the family.

As a home-based dog-sitting provider, we believe all dogs who live in a home, should have a home-away-from home! We can maintain their routine in a home environment (with sofas, toys, and a canine companion for reassurance) meaning it is significantly less stressful then traditional boarding kennels. We’ve had clients say their dog gets excited when they realise they are on their way to Hound Hero because they know we’ll be safe, friendly, and fun!

We limit the number of overnight guests to ensure every dog receives the individual attention and affection they need in a familiar environment. We feed all dogs separately to provide a peaceful, stress-free mealtime for everyone.

Your dog will enjoy life as part of the pack—cuddling on the couch, sniffing in the garden, and spending time with our friendly hound-in-residence, Theodore. Our routines are personalised to ensure your dog gets the right amount of exercise and enrichment during their stay.

Our dog-sitting service is managed by Hound Hero owner, Mike, who brings a calm and experienced approach to dog care. We’re happy to administer medications, cater to allergies, and adjust routines to meet your dog’s specific needs.

We offer flexible scheduling, including pick-up and drop-off options, and can accommodate last-minute changes or booking extensions whenever possible.
