Hound Hero is run by Mike and Kelly, with a little assistance from Theodore Houndsvelt, our Hound in Residence and Woofer in Chief.
Mike has cared for dogs professionally since 2021 and has particular experience with larger, active and energetic breeds.
He's trained in pet first aid, and both Mike and Kelly hold current police checks.
Teddy, meanwhile, considers himself responsible for welcoming suitable visiting hounds, supervising the distribution of treats and conducting routine inspections of all available sleeping arrangements.
His commitment to quality control is unwavering.

We want your dog to feel comfortable with us before their holiday begins.
That's why all new clients complete a free meet and greet.
This gives us an opportunity to learn about your dog's personality, routines, behaviour and care needs, and to make sure Hound Hero is a suitable environment.
For some dogs, a daycare visit or shorter trial stay before a longer holiday can be a helpful introduction.
It's also a great opportunity for you to get to know us and ask questions.
Overnight Care Pricing & Bookings
We offer overnight and longer stays, subject to availability and suitability.
Price: $75 per night
Additional Dog from the same household: +$25 per night
Public Holidays may incur an extra fee
A 25% deposit is required to secure overnight bookings.
Cancellations within seven days of the booking start date forfeit the deposit. Earlier cancellations are refunded less a $25 administration fee.
Arrival and going-home times are confirmed as part of your booking arrangements. Optional pick-up and drop-off services may also be available within our service areas.
