Welcome to the pack! Whether your hound is joining us for group walks, daycare adventures or a cosy overnight stay, the first step is getting your Hound Hero account set up.
We use Time To Pet, an easy-to-use online portal and mobile app that keeps everything about your dog's care in one place — from bookings and payments to important information about your four-legged friend.
Getting started is simple. Here's how.
Step 1: Register with Hound Hero
If you're new to Hound Hero, start by completing our New Client Form.
We'll ask for a few details about you so we can get to know you, create your account and get in touch about your dog's care.
Already part of the pack?
If you've previously booked with us via another platform, you will need to register with us. We can create an account for you, just reach out via text or email to contact@houndhero.com.au with your email address and phone number.
If we've already connected via Instagram or email, you might not need to register. Simply get in touch if you need help accessing your account.
Step 2: Activate your Time To Pet account
Once your account has been created, you'll receive a Welcome Email from Time To Pet with a link to activate your account.
Open the Welcome Email.
Follow the activation link.
Follow the prompts to set up your login credentials.
Haven't received your activation email?
No worries! Check your junk or spam folder first. If it's still missing:
Select Activate.
Enter the email address you registered with.
Select Send Activation Email.
Follow the instructions in the email you receive.
If Time To Pet tells you that no account exists for your email address, get in touch with us. We may still be setting up your account, or we may need to check your registered email address.
Step 3: Complete your dog's profile
Every hero has their own personality, quirks and preferences. We want to know what makes your hound tick!
Once you're logged in:
Select Pets from your Client Portal.
If your dog hasn't been added, select New Pet.
Complete their information and select Save Pet.
If your dog is already listed, select Edit Details to review or update their profile.
Tell us as much as you can about your dog's:
Age, breed and general information
Personality, temperament and behaviour
Social preferences and experiences with other dogs
Feeding routines and dietary requirements
Medical conditions, allergies and medications
Veterinary details and emergency contacts
You can also add a photo of your dog to their profile. We'd love to see their best heroic pose!
Why do we ask for so much information?
Because great dog care starts with knowing the individual dog.
Whether your hound loves making new friends, needs a little extra reassurance or has a particular routine they prefer, these details help us make their Hound Hero experience safe, comfortable and enjoyable.
Step 4: Check your dog's vaccination information
Keeping everyone in the pack safe is a top priority.
Before your dog joins us, we'll need to check that their vaccinations are up to date. We require a C5 vaccination certificate for all dogs joining us.
If vaccination management is available in your Time To Pet account:
Open Pets and select your dog's profile.
Open the Vaccinations tab.
Select the relevant vaccination and upload a copy of their vaccination certificate.
Enter the vaccination expiry date and submit the record.
We'll review the information once it's received.
If you can't see the vaccination upload option, simply contact us and we'll help you provide the necessary records.
Step 5: Arrange your free Meet & Greet
We like to meet all our new hounds and their humans before their first adventure.
Once you've registered, we'll usually get in touch to organise your free Meet & Greet.
It's a relaxed opportunity for you to get to know us, ask questions and tell us a little more about your dog. We'll also get to know your hound and make sure our services are a good fit.
You can also request a Meet & Greet through your Time To Pet portal:
Select Schedule.
Choose Request New Service.
Select your preferred date.
Choose Meet & Greet from the available services.
Select your preferred morning or afternoon time slot and submit your request.
We'll be in touch to confirm the arrangements.
Remember, selecting a preferred time slot is a request rather than a confirmed appointment.

Step 6: Download the Time To Pet app
You can access Time To Pet through a web browser, but we recommend downloading the mobile app for the easiest experience.
With the app, you can:
Request group walks, daycare and overnight stays
View your upcoming bookings
Send us messages
Receive photos and updates from your dog's adventures
Check invoices and payments
Keep your dog's information up to date
Search for Time To Pet in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and sign in using your account details.
Prefer using your computer? No problem. The Time To Pet Client Portal works through your web browser, too.
You're ready to join the pack!
Once your account is set up, your dog's information is complete and we've had a chance to meet, you'll be ready to book their first Hound Hero adventure.
Whether it's an action-packed group walk, a fun-filled daycare day or a comfortable overnight stay, we're looking forward to welcoming your hound.
